Swedish board-certified consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon with advanced experience in impacted teeth, implant surgery, bone regeneration and complex craniofacial care.
Dr. Anwar Alkhaja earned his DDS from Umea University in Sweden in 1999 and received Swedish Board certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2007. He then completed a two-year fellowship in cleft lip and palate surgery at Gothenburg University and Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
His clinical scope includes impacted and non-restorable teeth, dental implants, bone and soft-tissue regeneration, sinus elevation, TMJ disorders and complex facial conditions. He also has substantial experience in paediatric maxillofacial and cleft care.
Dr. Anwar uses detailed assessment and multidisciplinary planning for surgical cases. He explains the indication, alternatives, recovery and potential risks before treatment and coordinates with restorative, orthodontic or medical teams when needed.
