The sterilization area is separated from routine patient care so instruments can be processed in an organised environment. The workflow moves from contaminated items toward clean, packaged and sterilized instruments, helping reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
Used reusable instruments are contained and transferred to the designated processing area.
